WHAT IS IT?

This programme will provide you with a good introductory understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to educate and care for infants, toddlers and young children in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Our courses are designed to give you tangible industry skills and help you on your journey into a career in Early Childhood Education.

WHERE WILL IT TAKE ME?

Our courses can help you prepare for an Early Childhood Education career and set you on the pathway to further education such as the Diploma in Teaching (ECE) or higher.

DID YOU KNOW?

Students on this programme enjoy sharing stories about how children learn. Many of the students have children of their own and have learned new techniques and ideas that help them parent.

These courses are full time and are a combination of theory and hands-on learning along with workplace practicum. You’ll benefit from small class sizes, collaborative learning environments, one-on-one tuition and strong industry networks. Pathway and career planning is provided for all students.

IS IT FOR ME?

To apply for these courses you must attend an interview to assess your suitability for the programme and undergo a criminal conviction check as part of the enrolment process. Workplace practicum must be completed to gain the qualification. You must have access to a computer and the internet to complete your study. Ready to apply?
