“My time at Workforce Development has been so great, I have achieved a lot in the past year that I’ve been here!”

Kaylah is studying as part of the Youth Guarantee programme in Hawke’s Bay. She enjoys her time on the course and feels a great sense of achievement from what she has learned so far. When she started at Workforce Development, she had no credits or qualifications. Kaylah has now almost completed all her credits to pass Level 1 and 2. Recently she had success catching a large fish, which the class cooked up for lunch and has successfully gained a part time work position at a local second hand store. Interview skills, letter writing and writing a CV are all skills she has gained during her study. She finds the tutors to be really friendly and supportive and recommends Workforce Development for other young people wanting to get ahead.
